“It’s almost a bit comical about it.”

Frölunda does not like living far from home.

Away against Skellefteå, the score was 0-3 after the second half as the home team scored twice.

– It has not been approved, says Frölunda coach Roger Runeberg in the TV4 Play broadcast.

The numbers are bleak to say the least.

0-3 away to Skellefteå means Frölunda are yet to win in five away attempts.

However, they started at a high pace and showed their admiration in the first half, but without finding their way. Meanwhile, Skellefteå managed just two shots on target during the first 20 minutes of the match.

But then it will take off for the home team.

Two quick goals

Västerbottningar flowed and seven minutes into the second half, Oscar Nilsson sent home his first goal of the season when he made it 1-0.

Five minutes later, it was another player at home who scored his first goal. Filip Sandberg got the puck over the goal line after a messy situation in front of Lasse Johansson in the Frolunda goal.

– Now I think Roger Runeberg and the rest of the leaders are really upset, says Niklas Wickegaard, TV4 Play expert in broadcasting.

“Smooth defensive game”

Henrik Tömmernes dropped the ball behind his own goal and it found its way in front of Johansson. All the Frölunda players were around the puck in a battle with three Skellefteå players, but despite this Filip Sandberg managed to catch it and shoot it into the net.

– It is rare to see such a soft defensive play and then it turns into a small shot into the goal. It’s almost comical, Wickegaard says.

Even in the third period, Frolunda continued to laugh hard. Skellefteå won 3-0 after Axel Sandin-Pellikka scored on the power play.

“We are very weak in the second period and we lose a lot of battles,” Ronberg says.
