EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Follow Landeskog and the Trophy around Stockholm
For one day, Gabriel Landeskog won the Stanley Cup in Stockholm.
Among other things, he took the Grail to the orphanage where his nephew spent the last days of his life.

When Gabriel Landskog He got his time with the Stanley Cup, and he wanted to bring it to the people and places that meant the most to him.

Lilla Erstagården is a day care home for children and young adults in Nacka that is very important for the family.
It was there that his nephew spent his last time in life.
Now the kids along with their families and staff got to experience the cup.
The happy children sat and drank juice from a glass with a straw.
– It is right to give back to the staff and children who are there now. We have a very personal relationship there,” Gabriel Landskog says.
Meatballs and cooked pasta
In the evening when the giant dent came to Sweden, “Gabbe” was at home in a house in Alfsho with the closest family.
It is a tradition to eat something of it and the choice was meatballs with cooked noodles.
– It may sound childish, but it really seems to me symbolically. This was my favorite dish when I was young and it has been my whole life, and it was the best part I’ve ever eaten, says Gabriel Landskog.
Another place he took the trophy to is the Herrängen School, where he attended elementary and middle school.
Gabby twisted the bow in the passenger seat on the way there when he drove there and then drove around the empty schoolyard for summer vacation.
– It’s a nostalgia trip. Here I played a lot of soccer and hockey before it became my full-time job, says Gabriel Landskog.
100 people invited
In Hovet, parent club Hammarby invited the public to meet Gabriel Landskog and the Stanley Cup.
About 600 people took the opportunity to get there and the queue circled the entire square.
– It feels a little surreal to be able to be here with the dent. I hope young people will take inspiration from him, says Gabriel Landskog, because seeing him in real life was something I couldn’t dream of when I was their age.
The journey continued around the capital to Långbro Värdshus where the family was a lot as a child and where he knew the owner.
Celebrate in Stockholm night
About 100 people attended, from friends and family of Father Tony, Mother Cecilia, Brother Adam and Sister Beatrice.
Among them were ice hockey player Eric Gustafsson and youth leader Andreas Johansson, who meant a lot to him.
About 60 of them continued the bus to the Astoria pub in central Stockholm for more festivities.

The visit to Stockholm coincided with the marriage of Erik Gustafsson to Hana.
Immediately after this, Gabriel Landskog and his wife Melissa returned to Toronto where they had their main residence and where the children stayed.
As captain, the 29-year-old striker will take the trophy for two days and will take it later this summer in Toronto with his wife’s family and relatives.
The Stanley Cup continued by train to Andrei Burakovsky in Malmö.
