Later that evening, the team’s coach, Gennaro Gattuso, was attacked by a photographer.
Now he has to look for a new job.
Gennaro Gattuso has not been praised by the market since he took over as technical director of the Andalusian club last summer.
In 18 league matches, the team have all together only managed 20 points and are in a lowly 14th place in the table.
When the team landed at Manise Airport in Valencia after the 1-0 defeat by Valladolid on Sunday, they faced their supporters.
He went to attack the photographer

A seemingly calm Gattuso is seen conversing with the man in a normal conversational tone, when the camera light suddenly causes him to lose his temper – and hit the camera.
The camera belongs to the Spanish news channel A Punt. According to Marca, Valencia later apologized for his actions.
“Valencia and their coach, Gennaro Gattuso, have apologized to A Punt for yesterday’s incident where the Italian tried to prevent our cameras from recording the team’s arrival at Manes Airport. We appreciate and accept the apology.”
The faithful servant takes over
On Monday, Gattuso continued to make headlines, as it was now clear that he was leaving Valencia as coach.
“The club would like to thank the coach for his commitment and work during these months as responsible for the first team and we wish him all the best for the future,” Valencia wrote on their website.
The person who will take over the team will be a true loyalist: Salvador González Marco, better known as “Foro”.
This will be his seventh (!) stay as interim coach of Valencia.
