Gutenberg win the SDHL against Leksand – after 53 consecutive losses

Slagpåsen Göteborg won the SDHL – after 53 consecutive losses.

Lulia scored the 10th consecutive win of the season.

But that wasn’t what stood out in Sunday’s Women’s Hockey League games.

Punching bag Goteborg won the SDHL race – for the first time since January 3, 2021.

Gothenburg beat Lexand, after two late goals, 2-0.

This is after the team has lost 53 times in a row in the SDHL.

Not since January 3, 2021, when AIK was defeated 4-3 away from home, Gutenberg won a match.

Last season, the team lost all 36 regular season games, but held on after winning the playoffs over Skellefteå.

Two great champions can be observed in Gothenburg – two shots from Mimi Gill and goalkeeper Lauren Porter, who saved forty shots.

Leksand won the shooting stats with a score of 4-10.

Despite the victory, Gutenberg remained in jumbo position with four points scored, one point behind HV71.

Lulia won again

At the top of the table, Lulia continues to shine. The team is still without losing points and has achieved ten consecutive victories.

Last win: 3-1 at home against Linköping. Newly acquired AIK’s Lisa Johansson scored her fifth goal of the season when she scored 1-0 at the start of the second half.

When the middle season ended, Lulia went up 3-1 after Josephine Pearson and Nora Tolos scored twice.

In the 10 winning matches, Lulia scored 48 goals and conceded nine. There are four points back down to runner-up Brainas.
