Häcken Högmo gold coach rejected ‘too attractive’ offer

Guthenberg. The players have succeeded and other clubs are chasing them.

The same goes for Per-Matthias Hugmo, the 62-year-old Haken Golden’s coach.

– I got a very attractive sports offer two months ago, he tells VG.

Alexander YremezhevMikel Rigaard, Ibrahim Sadek, Samuel Gustafson, Evin Hovland and Christopher Lund. The list can be made long with the players other clubs in the Swedish champion Häcken are interested in.

But the successful Norwegian coach doesn’t do that either Per Matthias HogmoHäcken, who took charge of Häcken when the team was last at Allsvenskan in the summer of 2021, is short on orders.

There were many offers during the season and from different clubs. From all over the world, really, says Högmo in a longer interview with VG watched by Sportbladet.

Were there any interesting sports shows?

– Yes, of course. It was something mathematically interesting just a couple of months ago. But we led the chain. Although it was attractive, it was not an option to give up studying at that time. I’ve been clear about this, Hugmo tells the Norwegian newspaper.

– I can’t tell what it was. She was very attractive and athletic. The club (Häcken) has been informed of this. Tell them I’ve been in conversations, says Högmo.

The Norwegian is also under contract with Häcken through 2023.

To Sportbladet, Häcken’s sporting director, Martin Ericsson, who was informed of the huge interest in Högmo earlier this fall, said:

– Per Mathias has a contract for next year. We are looking at an extension. We talk about those parts and have a good, close dialogue. We are transparent with each other.
