Hammarby won the last practice match in Marbella – decided Basara

The last practice match before the start of the competition season ended with victory for Hammarby.

Marty Sifuentes lined up a solid eleven, as the Norwegian side defeated Stabek 1-0 – after the call-up of Isak Peterson.

Hammarby finished the training camp in Marbella, Spain with a win over Stabaek.

Martin Cifuentes lined up with pretty much the strongest squad possible – but the match wasn’t all that impressive.

Starting from the eleventh:

Duffin – Nilsson, Kurtulus, Wenger, Peñas – Sadiko, Hamar, Bisara – Djokanovic, Mikkelsen, Saidi

Sleeping pills

The first half offered neither speed nor fan. In what can best be described as a sleeping pill, Staebek was the closest to the main target. Dauphine came in between and set it up 30 minutes later. But Benas saved the day with a perfectly timed sliding tackle.

In the second half, Cifuentes acted. August Mikkelsen had to step down and the latest new acquisition came in – Tesfaldet Tekie.

And just minutes after the start of the first half, Hammarby took the lead through Naher Basara. The free kick from a narrow angle found its way into the goal. Traffic in front of goal so bothered Isak Pettersson (formerly of IFK Norrköping) that he mishandled the ball.

Bragg is waiting

Isaac Peterson was subsequently replaced.

With the lead still in port, Hammarby was able to hold out without much trouble. Staebek basically replaced the entire eleven and didn’t find the rhythm of the game. Bisara was one goal away from making it 2-0, but there were no more goals. Although Bajen has been close several times. 1–0 was the final score.
