Hammarby won the practice match against the Seattle Sounders

Hammarby beat Seattle Sounders in the first practice match of the training camp in Marbella.

Afterwards, coach Marti Cifuentes was pleased with new signing Viktor Djukanovic.

– A very exciting player, says Cifuentes.

Montenegrin talent Viktor Djukanovic, 18, signed with Hammarby before this season. The striker signed a five-year contract with the club.

He started Saturday’s training match against the Seattle Sounders during Hammarby’s training camp in Marbella. Hammarby coach Marti Sifuentes was impressed by what he saw in the new acquisition, for which Bagen was asked to pay around ten million kroner.

– Typical pre-season game. It was heavy legs on our part, but if you look at the whole it was a positive test for us. We matched two of the 11’s and did well. We’ve trained all week to do something well when we have the ball. There are definitely some good things to take with you, says Cifuentes, but there are also things to improve.

What do you think of the new signing Viktor Dukanovic?

– very interesting player. It confirms all the good things we saw in it. But we have to be humble because we played against the Seattle Sounders B team. It wasn’t the first team.

– But Dukanovic is an interesting young talent. And despite his age, he played two full seasons in the top flight of Europe. He can dribble and score goals but there are also things to improve on.

“It’s about developing a sense of the game and adapting to our way of playing,” he says. ”
