– That’s what’s frustrating. Because it seems to depend largely on which match it is. Some games you don’t say anything, some games you go in and take a penalty. I think the level is not equal.
At the same time, Hammarby’s Alice Carlson believes it was entirely right for the judge to repent.
– I’m very happy that they got the penalty kick back. My feeling is I’m really on the ball, I was shocked when it exploded. Of course I got angry when that happened. “I thought I had a good break,” Carlson told Viaplay after the match.
“Criminal sentences hardly change with VAR”
Olivia Schouf looked ready to hit the penalty kick at the start of the second half. I was surprised by the changed ruling.
– I noticed she (Alice Carlson) dropped my leg, but then it might be good that she takes the ball too. So I understood that there were protests. Then I’m not very familiar with a judge being able to change his mind in this way. So I stood there ready to hit the penalty kick. If it’s windy, it’s windy, I think. Shoof says she can obviously change her mind.
Did you stay in the box when the others were ready to go and play again?
– Yes, I was really in a bubble. Like I said, if it’s windy, there’s usually a penalty kick. It was fun, because the penalty decisions hardly change with the VAR.
