When Färjestad made its huge investment two years ago, Jacob Nilsson had to leave despite being a year into the contract.
Now the former FBK striker has demoted his old side by scoring 2-1 and giving Frölunda the ball of the match:
– I’m not going to lie about the fact that it’s very nice to score against Färjestad, of course it’s great, says Nilsson
The quarter-final match between rivals Varjestad and Frolland is even and tough. Färjestad lead 2-1 in matches, but two straight victories later for Frölunda, they have a match ball on Monday in Gothenburg.
– We’ve played a lot of good games now and we have good team chemistry, it’s just a positive feeling, says Jacob Nilsson.
It was a victory in Karlstad after Jakob Nilsson scored the winning goal with ten minutes remaining.
The same unpopular Nilsson two years ago when Vargstad fielded heavy forward names like Marcus Nilsson, Linus Johansson, Joakim Nygaard and Jacob de la Rose.
The future in Frölunda is uncertain
