After releasing some heavy new acquisitions, calm reigned on the recruiting front for Djurgården.
Among other things, the Stockholm club needs to fill in an additional guard.
We have an ongoing dialogue with agents and players and Adam Redborn is one of them, says Djurgården KG Stoppel’s Director of Sports.

This spring, Djurgården released some really heavy new pre-season acquisitions in allsvenskan hockey.
But the club still needs to fill the slopes and there is no longer a goalkeeper.
– We’re working on it now. It’s been a period of silence on the player’s part, it’s a special market this year with everything that has happened and is happening in the KHL. Djurgården’s sports director says players have been reluctant to choose to see what they’ll get KG Stoppel.
“He was in contact with Adam”
The former Djurgårds goalkeeper who played in the KHL during the season is Adam Redburn.
However, he still has a contract with CSKA Moscow.
– We have contacted Adam, but we need to look at alternatives because he still has an agreement with CSKA Moscow. As it appears now, he is not expected to play at Djurgården. But we have an ongoing dialogue with agents and players and Adam is one of them, says KJ Stobel.
It is currently unclear if there will be more returns to the Stockholm club, who are expected to bring in more players during the late summer and fall.
– Follow and see what happens. We are not the first priority for all players. A lot of people want to be involved in the big leagues but we’ll see what happens.
Djurgården’s season starts on September 23 19:00 against Västerås IK at home.
