Attractive young players
Attracting international players and the club market are Häcken’s young players who have made significant headway in the golden year of 2022: left-back Christopher Lund, 20, right-back Walger Fredriksson, 20, winger Oscar Odnas, 19, and this fall sensation, Ibrahim Sadik, 22.
Sadeq had a very strong ending and many clubs were watching. We have long contracts for these players and for a player like Sadiq, we know the value is high. It must be expensive if someone wants to buy a young player from us, says Ericsson.
According to information obtained by Sportbladet, Al-Sadiq, who was signed without a transfer fee by Häcken from Denmark’s northern New Zealand, was studied by Polish and Israeli clubs during the fall. There is also interest from clubs that can pay for it in the Saudi peninsula.
Most at risk, after all, is leaving: Alexander Geremjev, 28.
With 22 goals scored in Allsvenskan so far, the striker will have options. The contract runs until December 2023, and this summer Häcken negotiated away the clause that set Jeremejeff’s price at SEK 10 million.
Alexander was very interested during the summer. It was very important to stay. We are now ready for all scenarios and understand that it is tempting to move in with the right offer to make in place in his career. Martin Erickson says it’s the same there, we have a good dialogue with Alexander and his representatives.

Success can be sold
However, Hecken’s first sale to a player may be somewhat unexpected.

Do you have a team that can handle games in Allsvenskan and Europe?
– We are in a good position, we have a good structure and good contractual condition. This team can compete in Europe.
– Now we’re just starting to celebrate this. Then we start the slightly larger analysis around next year. But I don’t see in front of me that we’ll have the same turnover of players in and out as we’ve had in recent seasons, says Martin Ericsson.
