HV71 enhances the team.
NHL qualifier Finn Henrik Borgström signs a two-year contract.
– He’s big, strong and incredibly motivated to come to HV71, sporting director Kent Norberg tells the club’s website.
The HV71 barely got stuck in the SHL last season.
The team – which returned after a quick visit to allsvenskan hockey – finished just above the qualifying zone.
Now they are preparing for a stronger second year.

On Monday, it became clear that the club would join Henrik Borgstrom from the Washington Capitals organization.
Something Expressen was the first to report.
– An intelligent, two-way center that will be useful to us both offensively and defensively, says sporting director Kent “Nobin” Norberg to the club’s website.
A family in Jönköping
The Finn center won the Calder Cup with the AHL’s Hershey Bears as recently as a week ago. He has previously represented the Washington Capitals, Chicago Blackhawks and Florida Panthers in the National Hockey League.
– I have parts of my family in Jönköping and I’ve been there a lot growing up and I’m really looking forward to being part of HV71. Henrik Borgström says I see myself as a skilled player who wants to be involved in a winning game all over the ice.
The 25-year-old scored 27 points in 69 games during the season and signed a two-year contract.
It will be HV’s ninth signing of the new season. She has already signed SHL profilers such as Oskar Stål-Lyrenäs and Isac Brännström.
