The last competitions of Henrik von Eckermann and King Edward were skewed.
But after changing the stirrups, he jumped the World Cup to claim a double victory and take home 300,000 SEK at Stockholm Stadium.

It was during the World Champions Tour, JCT, V Saint Tropez mayo Henrik von Eckermann I dropped the stirrups in the middle of the competition. Von Eckermann had to make an entire stirrup change and changeover with only a few competitions remaining before the World Cup in Herning, Denmark in August.
– I have some nails with a few nails now, so it’s not easy for me to slip. I had the last competition too and actually felt better. It’s bigger and I have more leg room, says von Eckermann.
“Be very charged”
It is undeniable that the change has produced results. Von Eckermann came home for the first time in the 1.45 class at Glamor Girl and after a few hours got on a great run with King Edward and rode both flawlessly and fastest ever during the first round of the World Champions League.
Small details do great things, especially at this level. It’s a bit mental to me too, to feel like you did something and not just think it’s never going to happen again. It’s not my style, I want to do everything I can, says von Eckermann who is starting to find the shape of the World Cup.
– I felt great, as desired. I didn’t make any jumps yesterday and felt very comfortable being able to keep the turns fairly tight. He (King Edward) has been super charged, but he’ll be in the World Cup too. That’s why I want this feeling, how it goes when it’s like this on day one.
For class victories today, von Eckermann received a total of approximately 300,000 SEK. Experienced Rolf-Goran Bingsson stood up to make a little fuss and finished third in front of the home crowd.
Indiana is perfect
The team competition, the Global Champions League, also went well for Sweden. Stockholm Hearts with Malin Baryard Johnson and Peder Frederiksson rode flawlessly and are in the lead for tomorrow when the competition between the two teams is decided.
– It was great, great. Everything went exactly according to plan. Baryard Johnson said she (Indiana) was great today and felt completely at ease with me all the way.
Baryard-Johnson won the GCT competition in Saint-Tropez in May and is in great shape.
– Today was a little better, a little higher than expected. It’s my first real class since jumping in St Tropez and I usually have a little bit of a handle on it when I’m driving really fast. It usually takes a few laps before she understands that she shouldn’t ride that fast every time, but it was perfect today.
Saturday’s individual GCT competition will also be decided with the Grand Prix where the top 35 players from the team competitions will take part. Then millions are at stake in prize money for the winner.
Fredrickson finished fifth in the singles competition on Friday and Baryard Johnson finished ninth.
