Yes, of course you can complain about the JVM in August – without an audience, without some stars.
Or enjoy prime-time hockey on a balmy late summer evening on SVT.
I chose the latter.
As you all know, the JVM was not fully implemented last winter due to Covid-19.
As TV companies have their way, the JVM was brought together in August in Edmonton.
A unique action and new arrangement with the men’s hockey major in the last Swedish summer month.
Of course, the tournament was ridiculed and criticized. A large toilet in May often gets the same treatment from experience.
But I can’t see much negativity with the current JVM.
I watched the match on TV, outdoors, and had one of the best summer evenings. It’s incredibly nice not to have to think about how hot/cold it will be tomorrow or if you ever tap the SMHI app on the phone.
Being able to watch elite hockey with a good TV production in August, at a good time for TV, when the Swedish national team is at war and where everything is prepared before the crucial matches is as nice to me as a lobster disc or a Surströmming picnic.
August is a month for me where you clean the sand or wash the chlorine in the pool to think about hockey season. It all started for the upcoming hockey months.
What new stars are born?
How is it going
Who makes it to the SHL or who can lift Le Mat in May 2023 or win the SDHL race?
Then the ridiculous season and the constant debates over what favorite team should sign or are about to sign. You absorb all the existing information and throw yourself at series lineups or damage updates.
Then JVM, with the cool youthful vibe there, would be the perfect seasoning for what’s to come, like dill pie or lobster pie. Or as a conclusion to a fun day boating at sea.
The World Cups were scheduled for both 2004 and 2016 in August and September, and votes were raised for WC to be played before the hockey season in the late summer months.
I’m enjoying a great game of hockey in the evening now and I hope you will too.
Austria vs Sweden and then?
It was as expected. SVT expert Jonas Anderson called it general skiing and pointed to the fact that Sweden was very superior and everything was going in slow motion. This is an accurate description. It will be like when the worst team in the JVM has to face a big nation. And many probably thought Sweden would trample over the Alpine country, but it’s not easy to face a team that comes home and defends itself and has a decent goalkeeper in Sebastian and Ranchitz, who incidentally played at Skelleftea for parts of the 2019-20 season.
Sweden tried to get long turnovers on Austria and wear down opponents, and finally succeeded in the second half in particular.
The goal kick started by the back giant in the match.
The score came 0-1 after a superb shot from Simon Edvinson, as the Austrians were in a very long swap and seemed to pull off a heavy turn behind them. Great move by the Swedes before Edvinson’s goal.
To describe and explain how Sweden were superior, shots were 7-1 in favor of Blue and Yellow after just seven minutes.
Or 25-5 after half the game.
It came 0–2 in a power game where Fabian Liesel found Isak Rosén with a pass over the midfield and the finish was above the goalkeepers.
The match was then decided midway through when HV71 defender Emil Andray put up two pucks and Sweden went from 0-2 to 0-4.
Theodor Niederbach finished the match in the last minute with a score of 0-6.
A must-win with Fabian Lisel is impressive to me. Likewise the Giant Simon Edvinson and Oscar Olson. Goalkeeper Kali Klang had a hopeless match, but he did so with appreciation.
The big question is how will things go? small crowns I JVM.
What we saw against Austria is not enough against the United States or Canada.
But maybe against the Czech Republic in the quarter-finals. Finland might be in the semi-finals with a bit of luck.
Incidentally, we got our first metric of value on Monday morning when the juniors’ crowns are set to take on the USA.

Why isn’t Noah Ostlund working in the JVM?
Tomas Montén’s explanation that he wants to save the Minors and not let them play in multiple JVMs can’t be bought. Montaigne believes that there is pressure on the player when he plays his “real” tournament. Lex Holtz and Raymond, if you remember how the super talents went in JVM 2021.
With Östlund, Little Crowns had the opportunity to put together the Djurgården series with Jonathan Lekkerimäki, Liam Öhgren – a formation that was very useful in the U18 toilet. Ostlund proved his skill this week when he scored a hat-trick for Djurgården in a match against Almtona.
The Dif series became a perfect third series for Teegan Jr. and perhaps a more complete team.
