FC Jönköping is preparing for the next season of the SHL.
Nu har man gyoert klart med backen Mikael Seppälä från de finska mästarna Tappara.
– In Mikael, we’re getting a very qualified return, says the club’s sporting director Kent Norberg on the HV71 website.
Seppälä signed a two-season contract.
Most recently, he came from Tapara, who became both Finn – and CHL champion during the season of the year.
The transition has been confirmed on the HV71 website.
– I hope to contribute with a strong defense and win my close matches so that the team can switch to the offensive game. I’ve heard a lot of good things about HV71 and all the fans and I’m going to do everything I can to get the club back on top, says Mikael Seppälä himself on the club’s website.
He won the gold medal
The 29-year-old Finn is a deserving gentleman even at the national team level, with a WC gold (2022) and a WC silver (2021) on his track record.
This past La Liga season, his score was 15 points in 58 regular season games and four assists in 14 playoff games.
– In Mikael, we get very competent full-backs, not least defensively. He was one of the best defenders in the Finnish league over the past season and will be useful to us, says HV71 sports director Kent Norberg on the club’s website.
At the moment, Seppälä is in a meeting with the Finnish national team ahead of the WC tournament that starts next week.
