Sergio Perez signed his contract with Red Bull in connection with the win in Monaco last week. Now ahead of F1 in Baku next weekend there is a lot of talk about contracts, it’s clear the top teams have drivers for at least one extra season, unless McLaren and Daniel Ricciardo end their collaboration.
Max Verstappen has the longest contract ever. He extended his contract with Red Bull until 2028 earlier this year.
– I have no plans to change teams. I am happy to be where I am and they are happy with me. But I haven’t decided where I want to do after 2028. I might quit, he told the Daily Mail.
Steps: Never Indy 500
Verstappen is the youngest driver to make his F1 debut. He drove his first races with Toro Rosso in 2014 and in May 2016 moved to Red Bull, where he won his debut.
I’ve been in Formula 1 since I was 17 years old. It’s a long time and I’ve spent several seasons in Formula One. Maybe I’ll want to do other things when the contract expires, and I don’t know if I’ve made it to the top by that time, maybe I’m on my way down? I want to do other things, maybe compete in long-distance races. Maybe I’m tired of all the traveling and want to live a simpler life where I can only run the races I want?
He obviously wants to win the championship, but there’s one thing he doesn’t care about.

After last weekend’s Indy 500, which Marcus Ericsson won, Max Verstappen indicates that he is not interested in the oval and is therefore not trying to win the “triple crown” in motorsport which consists of the Monaco GP, which he has already won and Le Mans 24 Indy 500 racing and watch.
– I have no desire for it, at least not for IndyCar. These drivers are crazy. I admire the drivers who drive this race and have great respect for the work they do. But after so many years in Formula 1, I don’t think I want to risk my life or serious injury by driving there. Not worth it.

Toto Wolff hopes and believes that the Monaco GP will continue. He believes that both Monaco and F1 need to make some concessions to find a solution and that most of them are about rights.
According to Eddie Jordan, not only did George Russell take his place at Mercedes. He also took on the role of Lewis Hamilton.
Lewis is no longer the captain of that team, but George has replaced him. Jordan told Channel 4 that it will be very interesting to see how Lewis handles this situation in the future.

IndyCar i Detroit
Marcus Ericsson traveled to Detroit with the goal of winning another race after the victory in Indianapolis, but he finished seventh in a rather strange race that featured different kinds of strategies and where there was no yellow flag.
Felix Rosenqvist started the final stage after being punished for fouling another driver during qualifying. Once in the race, he showed the potential in the car and climbed 15 places and finished 10th.
– It was a fun race, without any help from the yellow flag – it was a pure race all the way, says Felix Rosenqvist.
– There were a lot of excesses and we did a good job both strategically and in the warehouse. Unfortunately we got too long behind Conor Daly and Dalton Kellett on the red tires and missed the chance of getting something better, but climbing 15 places in a clean race on a city track like this is still really good.
Will Power won the race and topped the championship, with Marcus Ericsson second and Felix Rosenqvist ninth. The next race will be decided on America’s Road in Wisconsin next weekend. There Felix Rosenqvist won his first IndyCar win two years ago.
