Information to Sportbladet says Smålandsklubben is looking for another striker. At the same time, there are reports that one of the club’s most loyal players, John Dahlström, is being sold to other clubs.
The budding Frölunda striker has six seasons behind him at Oskarshamn and will start his seventh season tomorrow.
He scored 16 goals for Oskarshamn in the SHL
This will not be the case, according to Sportbladet Experiment.
The 26-year-old Dahlström helped get the club into the SHL. Among other things, he scored the 3-0 goal in the decisive match against Timrå. And in his second year in the SHL, he scored 16 goals, making him the team’s top scorer.
But now there is no room for Dahlström, who has one year left on his contract.
Instead, he was informed that Oskarshamn wanted to break the contract to make room for another striker.
With Dahlström, IKO included 14 strikers in the squad.
