Iker Casillas hacked the Internet by posting on Twitter: “I’m like me”.
But the post was removed and now Casillas claims he was hacked.
“I apologize to my followers but above all I apologize to the LGBTQ movement”he is writing.
The post was published on the Spanish goalkeeper icon at around 2pm on Sunday Iker Casillas Twitter account:
“I hope you will respect me: I’m gay. Happy Sunday”said the post.
Iker Casillas – after 15 years at Real Madrid and the national team – is considered one of the greatest Spanish footballers of all time, so it was not entirely unexpected that he would become world news in such a short time.
But soon confusion arose.

Another Spanish football icon, Carles Puyol, responded to the post, writing: “Now is the time to tell our story, Ecker.”
And soon many Spanish media outlets concluded that the whole thing was just a poor attempt at a joke. A way for Casillas to eliminate rumors and writings about his dating life.
“The joking and sarcasm of appearing as a footballer is sad. Seeing my role models do this is terribly disrespectful.”Josh Cavallo, who last year became the first professional footballer to be mentioned as gay in more than 30 years, wrote.

Just over two hours after the first post was published, Iker Casillas came up with what he claims is an explanation.
“A hacked account. Fortunately, everything is fine now. I apologize to my followers but first of all I apologize to the LGBT movement”And the he is writing.
