When Danish cycling star Jacob Vogelsang, 37, was celebrating his wedding anniversary with wife Lulu on Monday, he had to change his plans.
The couple lives in Monaco and when the family home was empty, a rechargeable lamp suddenly exploded in an electrical outlet in the kitchen.
Fortunately, it is only physical damage.Fuglsang writes on Instagram.

– The nanny was out with our youngest daughter and when she got home I thought she smelled a little weird. And then the entire living room was pitch black, she says.
The black dust is now scattered throughout most of the house and the family has had to move in with friends with their two children and their dog during major cleaning chores.
I had a wedding anniversary
The explosion occurred on the wedding day of the Vogelsang couple.
– We are entering the seventh year of our marriage and it is said that the seventh year is the most difficult. So far we haven’t had any other issues, but this is definitely the worst wedding day ever, Lulu Vogelsang tells BT.
Jakob Fuglsang has been enjoying great benefits from all the “big tours” of recent seasons.
Among others, he finished sixth in the Giro d’Italia 2020 and won a stage at the Vuelta a España the previous year.
