How do you feel about it – flattery or burden?
– It is both. We have a good connection. But sometimes this comparison can be too much. “New Jesper Carlson” and so on. We are two completely different players.
But you have the same wobbly ball hit?
– Ha, yeah. He taught me. But sometimes it can be hard to compare. In a way, that’s also a positive: Jesper has really succeeded at AZ Alkmaar and will probably move on from there. It’s fun, but it also feels tough.
However, he aims, like Carlson, to make the move from Elfsborg to the Continent.
– It’s hard to know when. I want to go abroad but I also have one year left in the contract. Will it be an extension or a sale? we will see. But I’m staying now and I probably don’t want to leave this winter. So if there is movement, it probably won’t last until the summer.
