On Monday, soccer star Jacob Yankto chose to come out as gay.
His ex-girlfriend Markéta Ottomanská is happy and proud of it.
– When he told me “Cuba”, he also gave me a lot of freedom. What is important now is that he is relaxed and happy. He will probably feel great and there is nothing to eat from the inside. Ottomanska told Plesk that he was afraid people would not accept him for who he was.

Markéta Ottomanská and Jakub Jankto have a three-year-old son together, and last year Ottomanská accused Jankto of psychological abuse during the relationship.
“I allowed myself to be humiliated and berated because I thought it was important for the family to stay together.”she wrote on Instagram.
Now Ottomanská says she is no longer angry with Jankto.

Jakub Jankto has been praised for being brave in speaking out about his sexual orientation. However, Markéta Ottomanská is sure that there is another side to the coin.
– I am sure that there are still many who write and threaten him. It’s terrible that this kind of thing still happens these days. She says they are strange people interested in other people’s lives.
