Jair Silva receives parole – exploited minor

Jair Silva was sentenced to seven months’ probation.

The 27-year-old HJK Helsinki player sexually abused a minor on a soccer field, reports Iltalehti.

In 2016, football player Jair Silva arranged a meeting with a twelve-year-old on a football field. The two communicated with each other via social media and agreed that they would play together.

Six years later, Jair Silva has now been sentenced to seven months in prison for sexually exploiting a minor.

When Silva played soccer with the 12-year-old, two of the kid’s friends must have come to the place Silva didn’t like. Then he asked the child to walk some distance so that they could talk in peace. When they were alone, they kissed, while Silva tried to pull the baby’s pants down.

Damages for the crime of sex

Silva admitted the kiss but denied that he had sexually touched the child. He claimed that he touched the child’s clothes because he thought they were unsuitable for playing football.

However, the district court did not buy the explanation and ruled that Silva had “sexual intent” with the crime at the same time he knew the victim’s age.

In addition to seven months in conditional imprisonment, Silva was also ordered to pay 1,500 euros in compensation to the victim and pay legal costs.

When the crime happened, Jair Silva played with AC Oulu. Since then he has continued to play in Finland and now belongs to HJK Helsinki.
