Last year, Renee Sligers and Jonas Idival were awarded the Svenska Spels “Coach of the Year” award. Now the Slegers have a chance to win the prize again.
Andrei Giglirts And Robert Villahamn are the other two coaches nominated.
– I am very grateful and proud of my candidacy. It’s a lot of fun for me, the team, the management staff, and the entire association, says Jeglertz.
From the middle to the top three
He coached Linköping prior to last year’s season. Then he finished sixth – and this year Linköping finished third.
– I’ve been away from the women’s league for several years, which means the first year was a lot about getting to know the team and studying other teams, Jeglertz continues:
– I’m so glad we’ve been able to build something sustainable for large parts of this season. It takes a while, but I think now we’ve found the right way with a few things. Although we still have some work to do.
“He had great faith”
Jeglertz adds:
– What I’m most satisfied with this year is that we decided on a way to do it this year, and we’ve always worked on that model. We have great faith in ourselves and what we are going to do.
