Jesper Selgren returns to Luleå Hockey

After two seasons elsewhere, Jesper Selgren is ready to return to Luleå Hockey.

“I’m really looking forward to moving on to Norrbotten and playing Superman on my chest again,” he says.

Jesper Selgren represented Luleå Hockey in the SHL before but left the club in 2020.

Since then, he has represented Frölunda as well as the Chicago Wolves, winning the AHL title for the second time in his career.

It is now clear that the number one defender will return to Lulea next season.

With Jesper Selgren, we know we get a very good defender in the team. A player who has improved more since he was with us last time and still has room for improvement. In addition, we already know he is doing very well in our way of playing, so it will be interesting to see him in Norrbotten again, Lulio’s general manager Stefan Nilsson tells the club’s website.

The 24-year-old scored 29 points in 91 games for the Chicago Wolves.

“Looking forward to moving to Norrbotten”

The contract with Luleå is written for three years and the 24-year-old is looking forward to his comeback.

– I’m really looking forward to moving on to Norrbotten and playing Superman on my chest again. I had so much fun the last time I played Luleå Hockey and will do everything in my power to help us take the last step and move on, he told Luleå Hockey.
