Joel Anderson misses Alexander Geremjev in the national team

Joel Anderson is looking forward to his second international match in the space of a week.

It blooms in blue and yellow, but would have liked to be accompanied by Alexander Geremjev, Allsvenskan Archery King, BK Häcken.

– It was a shame, he is one of those who deserve to be with, says the former Häcken player.

Last Thursday he did Joel Anderson Sweden’s first competitive match when Sweden beat Slovenia 2-0 in the Nations League.

– It was incredibly nice for me to represent the national team in a competitive match, said the right-back.

A week later, he’s looking forward to getting a chance again when Emil Kraft is fired.

– It could have been really fun and I feel ready, says Joel Anderson.

The 25-year-old full-back has been playing for Danish club Midtjelland for four years. He is one of the players who has earned the confidence of the Nations League group with so many performances. Joel Anderson, who previously played for BK Häcken, a team he still follows, would have liked to be accompanied by star favorite yellow and black gold striker Alexander Geremjev.

– it’s a shame. I think he is one of those players who deserve it. After half of this season. It was fun being here, says Joel Anderson.

He himself has had a great season and the international cup experience is now wearing a blue and yellow jersey.

– I was hoping to get a chance after the season I did, it was my best, he says.

‘Feeling of getting old’

Joel Anderson, born in Gothenburg, has played for his Danish club for four years and feels he has improved in every respect. Last winter, he extended his contract.

FC Midtjylland has the opportunity to send players to Britain’s Brentford, but Joel Anderson has not received an offer to move to the Premier League.

– I feel a little old for it almost. I think you’re aiming for younger players, says Joel Anderson who thrives in the environment he’s in.

– It’s a very good management team and we have a very good mix of promising young players, some of them middle-aged and a lot of them older. He says: I think that’s good for everyone.

He will return to the club environment with new experiences. Tonight’s opponent, Serbia, may be a more difficult opponent than last Thursday’s Slovenia.

– It’s something we talked about and practiced on. We’ll keep it compressed and then they can play on the edges. That’s what characterizes how they created their most dangerous opportunity, we obviously don’t want them there. We have to keep them on the edges, says Joel Anderson.
