It was “unreal” that AIK lost to Blåvitt.
That’s the view of John Gedetti, who also credits the muddy hybrid Gamla Olivier rug.
– It wasn’t Mestalla if you say so…
John Guidetti was keen to stress one thing: the surface was the same for both teams and he didn’t want to blame Gamla Ullevi Stadium for the loss.
But he was not impressed with the quality of the grass. Especially when compared to what he was used to from his years in the Spanish League.
– Mm… It wasn’t Mestaya if you say so. I heard that three teams play their matches here. It’s a shame. It’s not fair on the turf and not for the players who can play on it. Maybe Blåvitt prefers the live game a little more, or they just learned to adapt to the mat. Because they liked to go too far when we were stressed.
‘Not great for heels’
How did you feel while playing?
– It was heavy. It wasn’t great for my (injured) hamstrings. But what do you do? Gedity says.
The attacking AIK star did not believe that the result was consistent with the picture of the match. In his opinion, it was Gnaget who went to victory.
– I shouldn’t be like this, but I think we are better than Gutenberg today. I think so. We feel that if we don’t win this match, we should at least get a cross. And then we code… It actually sounds surreal if I’m being honest.
– It’s sad for both teams. But in the end, we should be able to do good things anyway.

What’s the big deal tonight?
– That’s careless. Both offensive and defensive. It doesn’t matter if you hit good spots if the last pass doesn’t pass. Very bad in both the first and last trimesters. At the same time, just relaxing for a second is enough to score a goal.
We put ourselves in a good starting position because we play better than IFK Gothenburg. But they are more accurate and do not make mistakes. We make more than one mistake if we’re being completely honest. They punish us once but it could have been more than once. We lose the ball in unnecessary situations. But at the top of football you can’t do that. Then you will be punished. There will be a scholarship, but there must be an end to scholarships now. Football is still the first team in play.
Against Pluvet, AIK had to run without Yassin Ayari, Nabil Bahwi, Sotirios Papagianopoulos, Eric Otieno, Aleksandar Milosevic and Bilal Hussein.
How does that affect losing so many players?
– Of course it affects. There are talented and important players who are not with us today.
Far from Europe: ‘Too boring’
Getting to European places seems increasingly difficult for AIK. In the last two rounds, Stockholm must pass Kalmar FF and Hammarby.
– We take it one game at a time. What should we do… If we won today we would have had a better starting position, but we don’t. There is a long way to go now. Of course, it would be sad to miss Europe. Our fans are great and they deserve Europe. As John Gedetti says and concludes:
– But if we happen to miss the opportunity, we should go back and build something great for next year. You can still see positive trends. We play good football in many matches. Against Häcken recently, we are facing the best team in Sweden but we are rocking them with one less man. It’s just trying to get back on the horse and go into the last two games with the hamstrings.
