Chicago’s encounter with Philadelphia last night was the last with Jonathan Towes on the team.
The 34-year-old skipper will not continue at the club next season.
“I had several conversations with Jonathan during the season about his future. We had a tough talk recently that we weren’t going to sign him to a new contract. Tonight will be his last game in Chicago,” club general manager Kyle Davidson said in a pre-game statement.
