Hedvig Lindahl has signed and could debut tonight.
Djurgarden now confirms that fellow goalkeeper Kelsey Dougherty will be leaving.

After playing in big European clubs such as Chelsea, Wolfsburg and recently Atlético Madrid Hedwig Lindahl She chose to return to Sweden and the women’s league. The 39-year-old goalkeeper has signed with Djurgården and could tonight make her debut against Linköping.
With the arrival of the national team star, Djurgården opted to make a change in the goalkeeper’s side. American Kelsey Dougherty has left the league to play for Racing Louisville FC in the United States.
“I’m really looking forward to taking on new challenges in Louisville and getting the chance to play at home again in the Major League Soccer,” Djurgården told Djurgården’s website.
A step she wanted to take
The goalkeeper was recruited to the Stockholm club before last year’s season and now it is clear that she will be leaving.
– It is clearly a pleasure that players can come to Djurgården, develop and then take another step. This was a step Kelsey wanted to take and of course we won’t stand in her way, says Djurgarden’s sporting director, Jan Palau.
Djurgården vs Linköping will be played at Stockholm Stadium tonight, at 19:00. Hedvig Lindahl is in the squad.
