Linkoping booed by its fans against Malmo

link. I was humiliated by Malmö – then the LHC fans got tired and booed their team and waved a banner in the stands with a clear message:

“Show the Heart, LHC”

– It looks unfortunate, said Linköping coach Klaas Ostmann, who saw his team lose 1-5 after two stints.

There were two unfit teams at the bottom of the table. Malmö had only two points in the last six and Linköping came with four straight losses.

But when it came to playing for the POIs at the bottom of the table, there was only one team on the ice – Malmö.

The opening was a nightmare for Linköping.

Malmo scored 2-0 after just over five minutes and then Klaas Ostmann took a time-out.

But she didn’t get much better. Karl Pearson sent 3-0 in Powerplay before giving Henrik Törnkvist some hope of cracking it when he hit a rebound.

LHC fans showed their disappointment during the match against Malmö.
LHC fans showed their disappointment during the match against Malmö.

Joost Tornqvist was disappointed when, at least 20 minutes later, he said:

Too bad, we didn’t win any matches and very soft. No, not good enough, he told C More.

– You look miserable for 15 minutes. I think one goal (1-3 goal) can mean a lot for what’s to come, says coach Claes Ostmann.

He couldn’t have been more wrong, as Linköping came out with the same weakness in the second half.

Tobias Ekberg played Pathrik Westerholm right into the gap and it was 1-4 and after a few minutes it was 1-5 and then the local fans booed her team for a long time.
