Linköping won 6-2 away at Rogl

LHC cheers against Rögle.
LHC cheers against Rögle.

Linköping rarely scores many goals in Angelholm.

Now they have a 6-2 victory over Rögle.

The last three matches in Ängelholm between Rugley and Lechöping ended in a draw after full time, and the home side were in good shape with three straight wins, with the LHC with three away losses.

Then it was anything but locked at the Katina Arena — and guests were in the driver’s seat.

Stop the bleeding

When Vilmos Gallo made it 4-1 in Linköping with his 12th goal of the season five minutes into the second half, Cam Abbott took a time-out and replaced goalkeeper Kali Klang with Christopher Rivalk.

Linus Sandin stopped the bleeding and gave the home crowd hope with a 2-4 7.10 down in the second half.

But when Rögle was leading and closing in the third period, it was an effective Linköping who pulled away. Henrik Törnqvist scored his second goal of the game to make it 5-2 after a killer situation in which goalkeeper Rifalk hit a pass behind his chest to two of his teammates who collided.

“good self-confidence”

Christopher Enne’s 6-2 at 12.19 in the final period was absolutely crucial.

One of the symbols of the surprising victory of the Large Hadron Collider away from home was the success and goal scorer Vilmos Gallo:

– Of course I have good confidence after several games with goals. I play with good players, Gallo told CMore, I just need to lie down right and have the puck all the time.

– Strandberg (Sebastian) is a smart player who gets the puck where I am. Then Gallo says it was just a matter of shooting it on goal.

Linköping scored six goals only once in Angelholm. Then in a 6-0 victory in the 2017/18 season.
