Brighton have only won one of their last 16 encounters with Liverpool.
But after two goals from Solly March and one from Danny Welbeck, the curse was broken.
– It’s a very lax defensive game from Liverpool, says Fableplay expert Martin Oslund.
The decision came at the beginning of the second half. Firstly, Solly March easily made it 1-0 in the 47th minute, after Liverpool defender Joel Matip was responsible for a rather costly conversion in his own half.
The defensive game is published
– says Fableplay expert Martin Oslund, it’s very careless for Matip.
Six minutes later, the next slap came to the “Reds” – again for their carelessness.
The home team can only thank and accept.
Through a quick cutting pass, the ball found its way to Marsh who calmly struck a well-aimed shot that drilled just inside Alisson’s left post.
Grade target from Welbeck
There was no attack from the guests. Instead, the home side completed the rout, following a first-class goal by substitute Danny Welbeck, who scored the “Paul Gascoigne goal” by lifting the ball over his goalkeeper and then shooting it into the net.
– It’s rare to see a Liverpool game like it is today, says Fiplay commentator Henrik Stromblad.
– The problem for Liverpool now is that it’s a problem at a structural level, says Eric Neva at Studio Fiplay.
Another not to utter words after the effort is Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, who sees the defensive play on Twitter.
