London call-up: Lampard defends Everton fans’ celebration

Richarlison “disrespects” Jimmy Carragher, Patrick Vieira is being investigated after the storm of Everton’s plan and the good news for Man City ahead of Sunday’s decision.

Here are today’s English football headlines.

Today’s Defense

Frank Lampard was completely neutral to the storm after Everton’s win over Crystal Palace. The coach also partially defended his teammate Patrick Vieira Which in the pictures looks like he’s kicking an incoming fan.

I know Patrick because I didn’t get a chance to talk to him in the end because it all spread. Of course, he’s running 80 yards (about 73 meters) across the field, past many of our fans, so it’s no easy feat. But I haven’t seen any accident, says Lampard.

As long as it’s done in the right way, I gladly believe the fans should be allowed to take to the pitch and celebrate. As long as everyone acts and we don’t see similar scenes this evening (when Sheffield United’s Billy Sharpe was beheaded by a Nottingham Forest fan).

Vieira himself did not want to comment on the incident. According to The Athletic, the FA has launched an investigation.

Today’s snack

Richarlison took advantage of Jamie Carragher after Everton got a new one Premier LeagueContract with Crystal Palace.

The former Liverpool player and expert has repeatedly pointed out that brass tends to exaggerate situations and injuries. Regarding the pick-up match against Palace (0-2-3-2), Carragher tweeted:

“Talking about how Richarlison fell to the ground has nothing to do with prejudice. In every game I play at Everton he drops 3-4 times as if he was seriously injured and then gets up! It’s not about getting a penalty or a free kick, but about pretending to be injured when he’s not.”

Carragher deleted the tweet in question but not before Richarlison responded in the thread with a gif of himself imagining himself celebrating a goal with an index finger on his lips.

Brasen, who himself became the scorer against Palace, couldn’t refrain from tweeting himself (closer to 02 Friday morning), a post directed directly at Carragher:

“Wash your mouth before talking about me and Everton. I have no respect for you.”

Carraghers safari?

“I actually love this, if Twitter was there when I played myself I’m sure I would have returned the favor to the experts a lot!” This 44-year-old wrote:

Today’s second storm plan

Swindon coach Ben Garner also believes his players were attacked by Storms after the loss to Port Vale. The second-round playoff needed to be decided by a penalty shoot-out and when Ellis Eyandullo hit Swindon’s goal, thrilled fans rushed into the grass.

All forms of physical as well as verbal abuse, says Garner, according to The Mirror.

This is the first time since 1996 that Port Vale has played a match at Wembley. And in the decision next Sunday, the club will face Mansfield.

Today’s message

Manchester City could be strengthened (even more) for Sunday’s decision, reports the Daily Mail. Kyle Walker and John Stones are back in training after their injuries. Walker has not played since the Champions League semi-final draw with Real Madrid and Stones was forced to concede in the first double battle.

In the final round, City will face Steven Gerrard’s Aston Villa, while Liverpool will face Wolverhampton.
