Julius Hunca’s goal brought Lulia back in the last five matches and gives a golden fist.
Behind that was a terrifying change in Färjestad as Joel Nystrom stayed on the ice for about four minutes.
– It was hard, but he was just trying to bite and drive, says Nystrom.
Lulia is the club’s first gold in the Swedish championship since 1996.
The third home win in the final series came after a real shortage of boiling home stadium. In terms of results, it was an unconfirmed story all the way through to the end of the third period. But in terms of gameplay, the home team’s advantage was at times overwhelming.
It never became more evident than at the beginning of the second period. Less than three minutes later, Lulia moved the match into the attack zone – and they stayed there. In three, four home exchanges (with an ice blast) they cycled in the Färjestad area where the hill was Joel Nyström the whole time. According to what Sportbladet can read from the TV images, Nyström has been on the ice for about 3.45 straight.
– We didn’t get the disc correctly and I, as a right back, come back to the penalty area. She was just trying to bite and drive. It’s been tough but you pack up really fast, says Nystrom.

There was no target then. But at Nystrom’s next change, Lulia’s dividend finally came in. Joonas Rask made a fine pass to Julius Honka who found the gap high above Dominik Furch.
When asked if the goal might have been because the nightmare had changed a little earlier, the young FBK defender replied:
– No, I wouldn’t say that. I don’t remember exactly how it happened but it was a good match by Lulia. “I felt really refreshed during the game and I think everyone did, and that’s where we’ve trained all season,” says Nystrom.

The shortage continued right into the third.
