Madeleine Januji returns – but Hammarby loses to Vitgo

Madeleine Januji has missed Hammarby’s last four matches due to injury.

Against Vecho, the 26-year-old is back and needs just 14 minutes on the field to become top scorer.

But Hamrabi did not celebrate any victory.

“It’s nice to be back, but sadly we didn’t get three points,” Madeleine Januji says in Viaplay after the 2-2 match.

Guest Sarah Stratejakis managed to give her team the lead already in the sixth minute. From her position on the right, she entered the penalty area and fired a shot that was not out of reach of Hammarby goalkeeper Anna Taminen.

– In general it looks quite negative, says commentator Gustav Carlson on Viaplay’s broadcast.

But Vicho called again.

The guests were careless in the match while Hammarby took a good hit from their high pressure. Bagen’s Emilia Larsson got the ball and took a long time to serve up 1-1.

Larsson’s goal was Sabrina D’Angelo’s first missed shot since April 15. The Vizgo goalkeeper had three consecutive zeros before today’s match.

Januji’s top scorer live

An injury to national team star Madeleine Januji has kept him out of play at Damallsvenskan for five weeks.

Now she’s back in the Bagen match team – and she’s instantly become a top scorer.

Januji jumped in the 66th minute and 14 minutes later hit with her first full blow of the season.

But there was no victory celebration for Janogy and her teammates.

Just two minutes after the 26-year-old’s goal, Claire Polkenhorn equalized and the match ended 2-2.

There are so many things we can take with us, and then it’s just a matter of sharpening them, says Madeleine Ganouji.
