Now Magnus Eriksson is urging Djurgården’s management to extend the striker’s contract.

For the second consecutive match in Allsvenskan jumped Callie Holmberg in and scored.
After being reduced in the derby against AIK on Sunday, he tied 2-2 in Malmö the first time he was allowed to touch the ball after his interference.
– I had a really bad first touch but then I hit him on it. After winning 3-2, the 29-year-old says it was fantastic.
Add the goal against Gent in the Conference League and Holmberg scored in three consecutive games.
This is his first goal for this year. But he was barely allowed to play in 2022.

“He is unique”
The person who seems even happier than Holmberg himself about breaking the ice is his roommate Magnus Ericsson
– I’m so happy for him. He’s had a tough season but he’s worked hard and gets out first to the training ground every day. It is unique. See what the target does. Player can flip shape just to spray a bag in there. Now he feels dangerous every time he gets the ball. He is a very amazing man and I wish him all the best. No one is happier than me doing it in a zoo shirt.
Holmberg’s contract expires after the season.
Do you want the club to extend with him?
– Yes, of course. He’s my husband so I sincerely hope so. It’s my dream, I hope so.
But should he extend given how little playing time he’s got?
– I’ve been on it the whole time. He’ll have to listen if something happens. The season was not as he had hoped. He had to play now and make a difference
Does it attract other clubs?
– He’s a very good player. He is very underrated and gives us a lot; How to press and be the point of play and so on. Then you get judged based on your goals and last season he probably didn’t do that much. But he’s always been good to us, and now he’s giving more goals to goals and everyone sees that. He is a very qualified player.
Holmberg himself does not believe in extension
Ericsson does not want to take a stand on the question of whether Holmberg should play more this year. But the accolades he has won never want to end.
