Malte Strömwall is ready for Frölunda in the SHL

Frölunda found his forward reinforcements.

Malte Stromwall, 28, has signed for the club.

Frölunda was looking for a player to strengthen his forward formation over the summer.

Now this player has been introduced – we are talking about Malte Stromwall, who signed a contract until the spring of 2025.

It would be great to play in Sweden again after so many years abroad. I want to contribute with high speed and a lot of energy, and I spoke with Roger (Ronberg) about how he sees me as a player and how he wants to use me,” says Stromol on the club’s website.

Stromull recently comes from the Chicago Wolves and previously played for clubs such as AIK and SKA St. Louis. Petersburg, Dinamo Minsk, Hartford Wolf Pack and Greenville Swamp Rabbits.

– We’ve been looking forward to a point and looking for Malte for a long time, and we’re glad we got it together this time around. He is explosive, has a good finish and should contribute both to five-on-five and to numerical superiority, says Frölunda’s sporting director Fredrik Sjöström.

Last season in the AHL, Strömwall scored 51 points in 68 games.

Earlier in the summer, Frölunda also brought in Carl Klingberg, Gustav Rydahl, and Henrik Tömmernes, among others.
