Manchester United wants to sue Cristiano Ronaldo

Most indications are that Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, played his last match for Manchester United.

According to The Guardian, the club must have engaged lawyers to sue the Portuguese for breach of contract – thus severing cooperation with the star.

It was last Sunday that the first parts of Cristiano Ronaldo Featured interview published with Piers Morgan and The Sun.

An interview in which the player went on open attack against everything from the club’s management and coaches to his teammates and structure at Manchester United – following a fall in which the striker was in and out of United at the start of the eleventh season and also a short-term first-team ban for disciplinary reasons.

“I took appropriate measures.”

Earlier this week, Manchester United issued an official statement explaining that they want all facts on the table before any action is taken.

Now that the entire interview has been broadcast, they’ve received the facts involved — and begun taking action.

“Manchester United this morning initiated appropriate actions in response to Cristiano Ronaldo’s recent media interview. We will not comment further until the process is complete,” writes the club on its website on Friday.

You are not welcome again

According to both The Guardian and The Times, the club have engaged lawyers with a view to prosecuting the 37-year-old for breach of contract. This is in hopes that they can quickly end their relationship, which is now completely destructive.

They also wrote that Ronaldo would likely never play for the club again. He should also have been informed that he was not welcome at the club’s training facility after participating in the World Cup with Portugal in Qatar.

It was already rumored that he was gone last summer

Cristiano Ronaldo has just over half a year left on his contract with Manchester United. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner was widely rumored to be on the way out already this summer, but he nonetheless remains at the club.

Now, however, it looks like he may actually leave the club in January.
