There was a rebid.
But Marcus Nelson still did not get a place in the World Championships in Athletics, although he qualified for the ranking.
“It looks like you should have been able to solve it somehow,” says Nelson.
Marcus Nelson, 31, didn’t get any of the 24 places in the decathlon at this summer’s World Athletics Championships in Eugene. Nelson had to go to the tournament if he qualified through his world rankings, but he fell over the finish line when he became the first reserve.
Despite being reintroduced late, Nelson was not asked if he wanted to go to the World Cup and the tournament will now feature 23 ten fighters instead of 24.
– I got exactly this message, so I don’t know much. My coach (Tobias Olson) heard from Cagsa (the national team captain) Kajsa Bergqvist) It seems that they should not fill this place.
Criticism: “It feels stupid”
How do you feel about that?
– He feels a little mucus. The past few weeks have been a little sluggish though and I feel like I’m going to have to go. They will check another turn but it looks like they closed all registrations on Wednesday and I think the re-bidding came yesterday.
– It’s a stupid feeling because everything around him is so late in the tournament. More than two weeks left before the time is up, it’s too long. Seems a bit bureaucratic if this place isn’t full. We only have 24 places around and other branches have more. Looks like you should have been able to solve it somehow.
Although it seems like the last word has been said, there is plenty of solace for Marcus Nelson.
– It’s a scary feeling, but at the same time there is a European Championship three weeks after the World Cup. He says if it had only been a year with the World Cup, it would have been too heavy.
