Mats Sundin will be visited by Max Domi

It’s busy days for NHL stars in Stockholm.

But Toronto’s Max Domi plans to make time for a sweet reunion.

He will visit Mats Sundin’s house.

Max Domi is only 28 years old but he’s already one of the NHL’s nomads.

During his first eight seasons he played for six different clubs and since this summer he belongs to his seventh club. But there is one club close to his heart: the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Domi grew up around the classic NHL team.

Father’s profile

His father is Ty Domi, an old figure in the club and known as a notorious brawler. Tie Domi is also a close friend of Mats Sundin and they battled together in the Maple Leafs for over ten years.

Max Domi.

Sundin was with Max Domi when he was young, and they both keep in touch well today. After Toronto practiced in Hovet on Wednesday afternoon, the 28-year-old said he spoke with Sundin after the Toronto players arrived on Swedish soil on Tuesday.

– I hope. “I haven’t met him yet but I will soon,” he says.

“It’s the man!”

There is no doubt that Mats Sundin means a lot to Max Domi. When Domi had the opportunity to talk about his relationship with the Swedish club legend, he did not hold back.

– He’s like family to me. I’ve been able to rely on him my whole life, both on and off the ice. He was so kind to me and my entire family. I am very much looking forward to meeting Mats, his children, and Josephine (Mats Sundin’s wife) during this trip. To find out where he lives somewhere and a little about how he grew up. Probably the best Swedish player ever. He’s the man!
