Matthew Ryan believes he is being criticized at FC Copenhagen for political reasons.
After the goal against Argentina, his teammate Camille Grabara is now making fun of him.
“It should definitely be politics,” he wrote on Twitter.
Australia was eliminated from the World Cup after Argentina won the round of 16 2-1. They did, among other things, after a giant plate from Australian goalkeeper Matt Ryan.
– Obviously, I take responsibility for my role in the goal. They pushed me faster and I really didn’t care. It hurt, Ryan tells SVT Sport.
Ryan, who previously played for Arsenal, Brighton and Valencia, among others, moved this summer to Danish big club Copenhagen, where he competed with Kamil Grabara for the starting spot.
When 23-year-old Paul was injured, Ryan was allowed to play, but when Grabara returned, he was allowed to play again, which Ryan didn’t like and said in front of WC that he felt very touched and that the decision was about politics.
After the goal against Argentina, Grabara is now hitting his teammate and beyond Twitter He writes: “It should certainly be politics.”
Grabara is a member of Poland’s World Cup squad but has yet to get any World Cup playing time. On Sunday, the two teams meet France in the round of 16.
