Leksand continues the pre-season with the first practice matches this week.
According to the injury report from Dala Club, four players are not yet eligible for matches.
There is still uncertainty about superstar Max Verono’s willingness to play in the SHL premiere.

Max Verono, Justin Kloss, Matt Kaito and Martin Carlson are on Leksand’s injury list.
It’s about four key players, but the biggest name is forward Max Verono, who’s back after trying to break into the San Jose Sharks last season.
– Max Verono continues to train alone on the ice. The hope is that he can fully train with the team in time for the series premiere, says physiotherapist Emilia Backman.
The faithful slave misses the whole fall
Matt Kaito has yet to start training on the ice but he shouldn’t be far away, he is following the rehabilitation plan but it is not possible to say when he will be ready to play.
Justin Kloss is training individually on the ice and following his rehabilitation plan, hopefully he will be able to fully train before September.
Martin Carlsson is out longer than the others and is not available for games before Christmas.
We hope to Hellkvist in two weeks
Assistant coaches Charles Berglund and Mikael Carlberg lead the team after head coach Bjorn Hellqvist underwent brain surgery in Lund, as a result of Parkinson’s disease.
– Bjorn Hellqvist should be close to Lund and his medical team for a while longer. Doctors are currently working on adjusting various parts to make everything fine, so he can return to Leksand. Hopefully it will be in full swing in the near future, hopefully in a couple of weeks, says sporting director Thomas “Tjomme” Johansson.
Leksand meets Färjestad and Frölunda, on Thursday and Friday, respectively, in Strömstad.
At the SHL premiere Thursday, September 14th, five weeks from now, Örebro will be bringing to Leksand.
