Faro / Stockholm. Elias Andersson scored a great free kick and was behind the conversion against Iceland.
But Mikael Lustig was unimpressed by the left-back’s performance.
– If he had not scored that goal, he would probably have felt that it was the last time he wore the national team shirt, says expert V. C. Moore.
Sweden struggled in the last match of the January tour. Iceland took the lead after Sven Gudjohnsen kicked the rebound from a penalty into his own net.
The end result looked for a long time.
But Elias Andersson equalized the match in the 85th game after a free kick. Nine minutes later, the retrained left-back scored a corner kick which led to Jacob Ondrika’s goal 2-1.
However, C More expert Mikael Lustig was not impressed with Anderson’s effort.
– His positional play wasn’t good at all today, but suddenly there’s a free kick and he scores and then takes a corner and it’s a goal. He hasn’t done well for more than 95 minutes, but suddenly he’s home with a 1+1 today, says the expert and continues:
– If he hadn’t scored that goal, he would probably have felt that it was the last time he wore the national team shirt.
“a little hard”
Anderson himself buys the cash.
– It’s not my best match, of course, but it’s strange circumstances, you play with players you’ve never played with, a new surface, you’ve been running for a week and then you face difficult Iceland. He says it is not an easy match to play.
Victor Edvardsen takes his teammate in defence.
– There are many who are making their international debut. It’s easy for him (Lustig) to say who has the profession he’s in. I think it’s a little harsh, but it’s fun that Elias scores and fun that we manage to turn around and win, he says.
