Newcomer Modo came in with two straight wins at home and an impressive score of 13-5 against Linköping and Rügel. Leading team Rögle came in with two losses in a row.

The third win in a row came after a 2-1 win against Rogel.

The first period passed at high speed, both on the ice and after the hour. It was over in 26 minutes and it looked like we were going to go scoreless for a long time.

But with just over two minutes remaining, defender August Berg scored the lead for the home team.

The puck was touched by Röglebacken Michael Kapla and partially blocked goalkeeper Peter Kavaca.

– The period fluctuates back and forth. Modo has a small puck, but I think we are doing a very good job keeping them out, says Rögle striker Linus Sandin to TV4.

And August Berge, who has not scored in the league since the 20/21 season with Leksand, is not finished yet. Eight minutes into the second half, he scored two goals, making it 2-0.

Beautifully played by Riley Woods.

The 24-year-old Berg, who before the game had scored five goals in total during his SHL career, has now increased that number over 40 minutes by almost 50 percent.
