Modo returned to the SHL after a seven-year wait.

In the deciding final, they led Djurgården with a score of 4-0.

– It’s luxurious fun. Everyone was adamant we were going to win today,” says sporting director Henrik Gradin in C More.

On April 1, 2016, Modo fell from the SHL after losing to Leksand.

After seven years, the club returned to the beautiful Swedish Hockey Chamber SHL.

– It’s absolutely incredible, it’s a dream come true. I am silent. When I fall into this place, all the tears will come,” says Oskar Peterson, producer of Ornskoldsvik.

Scorer with two goals

Örnsköldsvik put its foot down against Djurgården in the seventh and very decisive final and won 4-0 and thus a total of 4-3 in matches.

The victory was already sealed in the first period, and said Peterson scored the lead goal before adding Johan Södergran as he controlled the puck in a power play.

When the smoke cleared after the break, Södergran scored twice and Modu led 4-0.

45 million SEK

The last period was one long march to victory and great joy.

– I don’t know what to say, so cute. Above all, it’s a damn joy. I am very happy that the fans experienced this, says coach Matthias Carlin.

The progression also makes Modo’s safes sing.

SHL’s place is worth around SEK 45 million in Central Revenue. An amount that will also increase by about five million per season through 2030.
