“My sister’s death saved my life”

Chris Evert talks about cancer

Tennis legend Chris Evert, 67, developed cancer in December.

Now she seems to have defeated her – thanks to her little sister.

My sister’s death saved my life, she says on HBO.

Earlier this year, one of the greatest players in tennis history, Chris Evert, said she had cancer.

The 67-year-old American was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in December, the same disease that her younger sister Jane died nearly two years earlier.

Since the disease may be hereditary, the doctors asked Chris to undergo an examination, which led to the discovery of the tumor at an early stage.

positive message

I feel so lucky, says Chris Evert on Good Morning America after he’s completed his sixth and final chemotherapy.

You do not need to undergo any other treatments, and according to doctors, there is a 90 percent chance that the cancer will not come back.

My sister’s death saved my life, she says in a trailer for the HBO series “Real Sports,” where she opens up about her battle against cancer.

“I like her”

Jane Everett is 62 years old. She also played tennis and was ranked 28th in the world as the best player in 1978.

As a sister, I was impressed by her wonderful personality and unwavering devotion to loved ones. It had a brave fight and the sky should be glad to have it, the former ESPN world-maker told ESPN.

Chris Evert dominated tennis in the 1970s and won 18 Grand Slam titles.
