Sweden played good and offensive football, full of opportunities, but could not get it in front of the Slovenian goalkeeper Jan Oblak.

1-1 against Slovenia was a huge miscalculation, which means that Sweden goes to the second division of the United Nations. But with this match earlier, Blågult didn’t have to go out and now the Buddy fans blew the whistle for Sweden at the final whistle.

1. Robin Olsen Rating: 3 out of 5 plusRating: 3 out of 5 plus

He sparkled with a double save less than ten minutes later and then continued to sway. There wasn’t much you could do about the date of Cisco’s dream. No, it was Olsen who kept Sweden’s chance to stay in Division B until the end of the match.

2. Joel Anderson Rating: 2 out of 5 plusRating: 2 out of 5 plus

Anderson couldn’t be hanged for Slovenia’s main target, but he could have pursued physical contact earlier and annoyed Cisko. Instead, he ended up in a difficult one-on-one situation where Anderson had no chance against making the dream come true. Apart from that, he hasn’t made any major mistakes and dares to follow up in some offensive situations.

4. Isaac Hen (out of 88) Rating: 1 out of 5 plusRating: 1 out of 5 plus

He played with very tight margins and was saved by Robin Olsen early in the game after the 23-year-old played the ball far outside the penalty area. Not making a calm and stable impression, it is only his second international in his career but he should be able to take on more responsibility and mature decisions.

3. Victor Nelson Lindelof Rating: 3 out of 5 plusRating: 3 out of 5 plus

Act as a leader across the field. He even helped Emil Forsberg 1-1 goal. Urged the team and led the ball and settled in the defensive match. However, it was clear that Ledlove and Hen did not find each other during these two matches together.

6. Ludwig Augustenson Rating: 2 out of 5 plusRating: 2 out of 5 plus

Unseen in the first half, Jan Andersson was evidently giving instructions in the first half that Augustinson should dare to come together and drive the ball up the field. He participated significantly in the offensive match in the second half and made a strong defense effort.

7. Victor Cleason (70) Rating: 1 out of 5 plusRating: 1 out of 5 plus

Centimeters from the dream target after one minute. He is active and has had chemistry with Kulusevski on several occasions. He worked hard but had triple chances that should have resulted in a goal.

17. Jesper Carlstrom Rating: 2 out of 5 plusRating: 2 out of 5 plus

There wasn’t much ball in the game-loving Olson’s opening shadow, but it covered the surfaces and made his way into the match. Stable and powerful positional play in melee. It grew more in the second half.

20 – Christopher Olson (Out 78) Rating: 3 out of 5 plusRating: 3 out of 5 plus

Numerous glimpses of Kofi “The Old Man”, ball buddy, turns and cute penetrations into the depths. Good in the close match and he saved the ball in the preliminary match to make the score 1-1. A few twists and turns Olson would have taken his own shots.

10. Emil Forsberg Rating: 3 out of 5 plusRating: 3 out of 5 plus

A little unexpectedly in the game – to be Forsberg – when much of Sweden’s attack was to the right of the first 45. He shoots with a single shot when you need it most. A strong contributor to the Swedish attack in the second but didn’t make it to the end to raise Blågult all the way.

21. Dejan Kulusevski++

Good posture after five minutes, I looked for the left foot. It can end directly with the right (which has improved). It spans several large spaces, preferably in collaboration with Claesson in the first and Foppa in the second. So much energy and initiative that ultimately did not lead to progress.

22. Robin Quison (UT 70) +

Mobile, pulled Slovenia’s backline away and created spaces for Klisson and Kolosevski. But I have rarely found myself in the most toxic situation. A bit anonymous without completely blaming myself for it.

Alternatives:

11. Anthony Ilanga (70) ++

16. Victor Jokers (70)++

19. Matthias Svanberg (78) played too short for classes.

18. Mikael Ishak (88) played too short for the rating.
