Alex Pietrangelo has missed nine games.

Now Vegaspakken is opening up about his four-year-old daughter’s illness.

He says she can neither eat nor walk nor speak.

Vegas Golden Knights guard Alex Pietrangelo is back after a three-week layoff.

Before returning against the New York Islanders, the 32-year-old told what kept him out of the game. Four-year-old daughter Evelyn is seriously ill.

She got the flu and it turned into meningitis. I have lost all motor skills and all functions. According to The Athletic, she was unable to eat, walk, or talk.

“I can’t open my eyes”

He pauses to collect himself before continuing:

– For the first five days, she couldn’t even open her eyes.

He has a few nightmare weeks behind him.

– It’s so scary when they can’t give you a prediction of when your adorable little girl will get better.

Over the past few days, Evelyn’s condition has improved dramatically, much faster than the family had expected. He tells her that she got home three days ago and the next morning she decided to leave.

– We thought it might take months before it was possible. But she continued walking yesterday. She walked in circles for the whole day. God answered our prayers. It’s a miracle how I cut through after 48 hours.
