No William Nylander for the World Cup of Hockey

TAMMERFORS / Stockholm. There will be no William Nylander in the restroom.

This was announced by Union Commander Sam Hallam Saturday morning.

– The team we have here and now is the team we aim to join, he says.

Since the Toronto Maple Leafs left the Stanley Cup playoffs, there has been speculation about whether William Nylander will come to the World Cup. There have been many hints that the megastar was on his way, but the announcement has been delayed — until now.

The team we have here and now is what we aim to join. What can be changed is no harm. Part time factor. We’ve had some dialogue with various parties this week and come to the conclusion that today we’ve made the decision that this is the band we’re traveling with,” says Sam Hallam.

When asked if this meant Nylander would not appear, Hallam replied that:

The team we have is the team we belong to.

“full throttle applied”

Sam Hallam also didn’t want to go into detail if there were bumps in the road with Nylander.

It’s a process with different parts that it’s hard for me to go into exactly. We’ve picked the line we don’t comment on the why, if and how, but different parts come into play. We have come to a decision now and here on the site we have started the tournament very well and we feel safe. The group dynamic sits more each day and then sends us that we’re here and we’re not waiting for anything — it’s just full throttle that applies, he says.
