Shortly before the break, a mockery of Curva Nordahl, the classic behemoth of Swedish football who taunts an eternal swing gang, sprang up. The Beijing Fans turned 25 this year, and they opened the night with an elegant full-stand dance, but there are at least two things to be said about that particular song.
The first is that it feels so special to come back to this kind of soccer field and feel it rocking under your feet. Well aged Norrköping is their third coach of the season, they’ve switched from Rickard Norling’s stern care of ball and man to Gold Glen Riddersholm’s simpler footballing ideas, but they’ve stopped pretending 2022 is about anything other than survival.
The second is the question is the gold anything?
Hammarby came here chasing his second goal, they entered the purgatory of the season with matches against all the top competitors, and their growth step by step in the football played by Marti Cifuente.
