Much is uncertain about the Swedish national team ahead of the return leg against Norway.
But one case hit Robin Olsen.
– You will hit the field, says the goalkeeper of the national team.
Sweden had a rough time last week in the Nations League. Two consecutive losses, two players injured and suspensions. When the national team now gets a chance to take revenge on Norway, there’s nothing to turn back Robin Olsen.
– Now we have a chance to finish this group with a win. It’s just driving – all in! There is nothing to save. You must be at full speed in all the duels. It will explode! Losing against Serbia makes us hungry for revenge, it hurts.
So there was more lighter fluid after that match?
– yes. Also when you look at the home match against Norway, we deserve a different outcome. If we had the judgment with us, we wouldn’t lose it. But, it has happened. Now we’ll beat them, says Olsen, who has been the goalkeeper in all three games.
‘We want to go out there and win’
Ever since Jan Andersson changed the playing system to 4-3-3 before collecting the Nations League, Sweden has been famous for its victory over Slovenia and then back-to-back losses against Norway and Serbia. Norway had seven points, which means that Sweden must have at least one point to have a reasonable chance of winning the group. Tensions between countries have increased since the match at Friends and the Swedish players did nothing to lower expectations in Sunday’s second leg.
– They beat us at home, and now we want to do the same. We’re rated a lot,” says Jens Cajuste.
Robin Olsen says he’s going to explode?
– I agree with. We go there with a strong desire for revenge. “We want to go out there and win and know we have the quality to do that,” says Emil Forsberg.
